Quality Packaging Since 1979
The quality of your packaging speaks volumes about the quality of your products. Each and every one of
your employees works diligently to preserve customer trust in your products, and, as a member of your
team, we do the same.
J.R. Cole Industries commitment to excellence starts with our own full service, in-house prepress plant.
The excellence extends to our system for managing orders in our print facilities. It flows through to the
technicians who operate the equipment that makes every product we run reflect a quality image. We are
an integral part of your team, ready to offer ideas that make the package production process better.
Our hallmark is quality packaging, produced on time, at competitive prices. We do everything in our
power to enhance our working relationship and increase your ability to protect your brand. Its been that
way since Bob Cole founded the company in 1979, and it continues today.

We are a full service packaging company with a complete product line of roll labels, shrink bands, inserts,
folding cartons, and promotional pieces. Our prepress needs are served by a wholly owned subsidiary producing
trade materials for the flexography, letterpress, offset, and screen printing processes.
We are a totally independent company and intend to remain that way. We have no outside investors, no
venture capital money, and no outside stockholders. This translates into an almost instant decision making
process critical in todays marketplace. The average tenure of our associates is well over ten years. This
is a remarkable record for any company in any industry, especially one that had three employees in 1980,
and nearly 200 today.
We are often asked by prospective customers, What is your mission statement? It is very simple. It is to
enhance the reputation of those who entrust us with their orders.
Our regular customers dont have to ask. Thank you for your consideration and interest in our company.
I sincerely hope that you will decide to see for yourself why our family of customers, employees, lenders,
and suppliers have been so loyal and supportive for over 30 years.
Unlike most packaging companies that outsource their prepress work, J.R. Cole Industries provides our
clients with in-house prepress services. These services include the latest in proofing technologies that are
specifically calibrated to match our printing conditions, giving you the most accurate proofing available.
Using the latest in plating technology, our prepress facility produces all of the printing plates used in our
printing facilities. Owning this creative and technological capital enables us to remain in total control of
quality at each step in the production process.
With our state-of-the-art technology, we are able to handle art in any form. These files can be transmitted
to us via the internet or our private and secure FTP site. Our prepress technicians use the latest technology
and graphic software to ensure high quality, efficiency and fast turnaround. Unlike the competition,
our prepress facility has its own Quality Assurance Department that scrutinizes all proofs and plates before
being sent to the customer for final approvals or to the print facilities for printing. It is just one more step
to insure that you get the quality product that you deserve. Our design services are available for creative
Meeting deadlines in a smoothly running folding carton plant depends on how an order flows through
the plant. Speed depends on equipment that is matched in terms of sheet size. At J.R. Cole Industries, our
presses and die cutters run the same sheet size, so a job coming out of the pressroom can run on any of
our die cutters, which saves a tremendous amount of time.
Our Heidelberg presses offer up to six print stations, plus a coating station with many high tech features
that reduce make-ready times and speed changeovers. In addition, the presses offer an automatic inking
system, quick registration and alcohol-free operation (our environmental advantage).
With ultraviolet (UV) capabilities on each deck, our presses maximize the availability of coatings. We can
also switch from a conventional water-based coating to a UV coating, adding high gloss and greater scuff
resistance.
Through diligence and extensive research, J.R. Cole has obtained a reputation as an innovator in the
printing of pressure sensitive labels. The diversity of our printing processes and the services we offer are
a direct result of that dedication. Our flexibility in label printing means we can faithfully reproduce the
graphics you provide. You want 14 colors? No problem! Foil Stamping with holographic treatments? No
sooner said than done! We can also offer enhancements that range from printing on both sides of the web
to sequential numbering.
Over the past few years our pressure sensitive Label operation has naturally evolved into a manufacturer of
shrink sleeves and tamper evident banding. This has been a smooth progression for J. R. Cole since we were
already a supplier of pressure sensitive labels to many companies who use shrink sleeves and tamper evident
banding.
Shrink Sleeves are the only way to provide 360 degree printing on a container. It is especially effective on
uniquely shaped containers. All graphics are reverse printed on the underside of the film to get the ultimate
in scuff and abrasion resistance. Also, shrink sleeves are the only way to provide security and locked in
freshness to a product without compromising the decorative integrity of your package. Our shrink sleeves
can also be enhanced with foil stamping and printing, up to 10 colors. We print on PET, PVC, and PLA films.
Our continued growth presents several opportunities for the skilled, quality oriented craftsman as well as ambitious, mechanically inclined entry level production applicants desiring to train in long term career opportunities.
Our benefits are excellent, and we offer a clean, healthy work environment on the finest late model equipment.
